January 2008 Ro had a trip from Sydney to Perth with Katrina. Here are the photos taken by Katrina.

This is at Kimba, a town in South Australia which claims to be the half way mark between the East and West coasts of Australia.

This photo was taken just moments before crossing the border to Western Australia. Border Village SA/WA.

This is an example of a basic outback township. Taken from my hotel room door so the lighting isn't the best. Norseman is a goldmining town in outback Western Australia about 700km from Perth.

Taken in the car as we drove along, a basic outback shot. We saw this same view for a few days.

As we crossed the border to South Australia we had to pass through a quarrantine checkpoint to make sure we weren't carrying any fruit, vegetable or plant material. This is to protect crops from fruit fly which hasn't made it to South Australia yet.

The Big Gallah is at Kimba, South Australia.

Taken at the Border Village SA/WA. This signpost shows the distances to places all over the world.

Taken at SA/WA Border Village. A giant kangaroo

This twisted piece of metal is a piece of the Skylab space station which crashed to earth in Balladonia Western Australia on 12 July 1979. If you look really close you can see the word Skylab on the side.

Kangaroo at the zoo.

The emu which tried to eat Ro at the zoo.

Getting up close and personal with one of the kangaroos at the zoo.

This curious kangaroo was wondering what Ro would taste like.

The pretty peacock at the zoo. Taken on a disposable camera.

Our first stop was at the Dog on the Tuckerbox in Gundagai, NSW.

There was a lot of glare and haze on the horizon the day we stopped at the southern edge of Australia. This is the Great Australian Bight in South Australia.
